I did this.  There was a lot of output for one user record :-) 
Before I delve into any details, I want to relate this. 

I found the coderefs, they live in the source_registrations hashref,

source_registrations => {
  UserRole => {
       _columns => {
           role => { _inflate_info => {
                       inflate => sub {"DUMMY"} 
                       deflate => sub {"DUMMY"} 
           } 
           user => { _inflate_info => {
                       inflate => sub {"DUMMY"}

Of interest, possibly, is that when I set Deparse = 1, the error message 
changes to:
[error] Caught exception in engine "Can't locate object method "PVX" via 
package "B::NULL" 
at D:/Perl/lib/B/Deparse.pm line 1288."
