[Catalyst] what is easiest/best GNU/Linux/BSD distribution forCatalyst?

Solaris, OS X, Redhat 9, FC4, and Deb.  I do the installs from source
builds though.

I've installed it without overmuch hassle on -

Debian
FreeBSD
Solaris (with pkgsrc)
Gentoo
Red Hat 9
Slackware
PkgSlack (Shadowcat in-house distro, Slack with pkgsrc)

Gentoo is a fantastic development platform; it's a bit fast-moving (and
on the odd occasion fast-breaking) of a target for me to want to use it
in production though. For deployment I'd probably recommend Debian or
FreeBSD, depending on whether "Linux" or "source packaging" is the main
thing you want to carry over into production.

Give me six months and maybe I'll recommend PkgSlack for everything though
:)
