I already answered that question.

Just change

     sub handler {

to

     sub handler ($$) {

in Engine.pm

Or add this to your MyApp.pm

     sub handler($$) { shift->SUPER::handler(@_); }

We have not yet made a new release because we are very very busy 
implementing cool new things for Catalyst 5. :)
