I had enormous difficulties the first time that I tried to add CRUD
into my toy project, enough to make me consider abandoning the module.
But then I started playing with the Hops example, which uses CRUD,
and everything seems to be working just fine. At some point, I'm
going to have to figure out what went wrong in my first attempt and
either document the mis-step(s) or patch the module to make it harder
to mis-use. Or even better, both.
