I just got the following in email. I vaguely recall the guy who sent
it to me--he's a headhunter. If you apply for the job, could you
tell him David Storrs sent you? I wouldn't mind the referral fee.
Key points:

	- must be onsite in Stamford, Ct, USA;
	- web app work;
	- long-term consulting;
	- possibility to go permanent in 2006;
	- Java+Perl (mostly Java);

==================================

IT Professional,

I wanted to contact you about a Senior Web Applications Developer
position that we are working on. If you are interested in the
position below, please email me with a Word version of your resume.
If you are not a good fit for this position, but know of someone who
may be, we are offering a referral fee should your referral complete
this assignment.

Our client is a large cable television network located in Stamford,
CT. They are looking for a senior web applications developer to work
on various consumer-facing web sites for their various entities. A
suitable candidate must have at least five year’s experience
developing web applications in a Java, JSP environment and at least
two years experience developing web applications for high traffic
volume, consumer-oriented web sites.

This is a long term consulting assignment with the possibility of
going permanent.

Beyond Java development experience, a good candidate must have
extensive experience with HTML, XML, perl, SQL and Oracle, as well as
a strong understanding of how the web works. They use Interwoven’s
Teamsite content management system for managing web content and the
Autonomy search engine for search so experience with development
using these applications is desirable. Flash actionscripting skills
are also desirable. Their development and production environments
are primarily based on Sun Solaris and so a UNIX background is required.

Excellent communication skills are also essential as the position
requires a team player who is willing and able to work with and
support business users and who can understand and help develop user
requirements, identify solutions, and articulate them to business
users and other developers.

The position is a long-term consulting position with a potential for
conversion to a staff position in 2006. The position will be
responsible to the Manager of Interactive Systems Development and is
on-site based in Stamford, Connecticut.

If interested in the above position, please forward resume in a word
document. If you do not qualify for this position but would like to
be considered for other positions, please apply at www.staffitinfo.com

Thank you for your time.
